There is plenty of tennis talent in the Goulburn region, exemplified by those who competed in the Pat Cash Cup.

Goulburn region’s junior tennis stars continue to represent with pride.

At the weekend 16 players travelled to Bendigo to contest the Pat Cash Cup, in a bid to be the best association or regional team in Victoria.

Goulburn had a tough assignment, grouped against teams from Central Highlands, Northern Mallee, Waverley, Mornington Peninsula and the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Goulburn had a sizeable victory against Mornington Peninsula, winning 13-113 to 5-52 and was also victorious against Northern Mallee to finish eighth.

This month Goulburn region pulled out its purple shirts for the Minter McNamee Cup.

The 17-and-under representatives — Jessica Dalton, Robbie Mifka, James Nethersole and Olivia Quigley agonisingly lost two matches by a game to finish seventh.
