Kialla Park has been nearly flawless this season.
But on Saturday Shepparton Lawn Pink showed great spirit and pushed the Parkers all the way to a draw.
The 4-35 deadlock was the result of plenty of epic tussles during the day as each team tried to gain the ascendancy.
Pink’s Emily Turcato and Emily Humphrey just managed to move ahead of Kialla Park’s Ellie Mifka and Kate Adams.
The tussle went to a tiebreaker with the Kialla Park duo breaking ahead to win the set 6-5 and the one-game buffer would prove just as important as team-mate Tom Ferguson’s dominance.
Ferguson won his singles set without conceding a game, but Kialla Park’s Robbie Mifka was also busy recording a dominant win.
Ellie Mifka was in fine form for the Parkers and team-mate Mitchell Roche was also superb.
Mooroopna Cats White had no trouble against Shepparton Lawn Red, prevailing 8-48 to 0-16.
Sophie Brown and Coby James formed an all-conquering partnership for Mooroopna, winning both the sets they took to the court in.
Red’s Fergus Wilson put up a fight against Aidan Basile in the boys’ singles, but the Cats gun held his nerve to win in a tiebreaker.
When Mooroopna Cats Blue won a set, they won big against Shepparton Lawn Purple.
Blue gathered a 4-41 to 4-32 victory via the hard work of the girls in the team.
Molly Tancred won her singles without conceding a game and she teamed up with Olivia Lear for a 6-3 victory in the doubles to help the Cats on their way.
