Mick Power has been appointed to again coach Merrigum in the Kyabram District Football League.
Power took over from premiership boss Christian Barnett as he took a back seat to focus more on playing.
Merrigum had some good wins against finals teams last season, but ultimately missed out on the top six for the first time since 2012.
Long-serving Greg Pell was re-elected as president at the club’s annual meeting last month and Merrigum will go with a similar leadership structure to this year.
The Bulldogs are looking to blood their youth after their reserves team won the premiership and the under-18 side made the grand final.
But Pell said the team was still looking to top up with another gun recruit or two to play up forward or through the midfield.
Merrigum will have a pre-season meet and greet on December 15 that will double as a Christmas party.
There will be a barbecue provided and all past, present and potential players are welcome.
