The playing trio was also named Goulburn Murray’s best three players for the competition at its conclusion after dominating large patches of both matches.

In division two, Mooroopna pair Nathan Basile and Tom Brown joined Matthew Collard (St Mary’s) and Kyabram’s Wez Hill (Bendigo Pioneers) in garnering recognition for their efforts on the field, with the boys also winning one of two fixtures in Latrobe City.

As with division one, these three players were Goulburn Murray’s best of the best.

The Goulburn Murray under-16 girls did not manage to engineer a victory at the tournament, but Kate Adams (Shepparton United) and Euroa duo Georgia Gall and Aurora Smith were still among the better players of the week.

Echuca player Sharmaine Reilly also made the team of the carnival after two great showings for the Bendigo Pioneers.
