Katamatite's Nicol Clurey and Katandra's Nathan Bovalino have been handed four-week suspensions.

Katamatite’s Nicol Clurey and Katandra veteran Nathan Bovalino each received four-week suspensions following a Picola District Football League investigation.

The pair received red cards during two separate incidents in a fiery round 16 clash on August 5.

League operations manager Shane Railton said the pair’s intitial reports were thrown out as they were filed incorrectly, but Katandra and Katamatite asked for the incidents to be investigated.

The investigations found Bovalino and Clurey had unbecoming conduct cases to answer, with the pair both found guilty at separate hearings on Wednesday night.

Bovalino and Clurey will miss the first month of next season, as their respective clubs finished bottom and second bottom this year.

Meanwhile, Shepparton East veteran Rob Osborne was cleared of a charge in a third hearing on Wednesday night and is free to play against Rennie in tomorrow’s preliminary final at Dookie.
