Lindsay Park has done it again.
The dream team of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig picked up Victoria’s top award for trainers on Sunday night.
The Euroa-based stable collected the Fred Hoysted Medal for the most outstanding training performance of the season.
Their success came about from their effort to win the Group One Blue Diamond Stakes with Catchy and Sheidel winning the Oakleigh Plate.
It was David Hayes’ second Fred Hoysted Medal, but first with son Ben and nephew Dabernig.
Lindsay Park’s famed trio polled 82 votes, which are awarded by members of the media and administrators, to edge out Sydney trainer Chris Waller by one vote.
It was no mean feat to topple Waller, who was up for getting the acclaimed Winx to win the Cox Plate by eight lengths.
