Tribunal no-show suspended indefinitely

Undera's Vaai Vaai has copped an indefinite suspension after his absence at Wednesday's tribunal hearing.

An Undera player has been suspended indefinitely after failing to show at a tribunal hearing on Wednesday.

Vaai Vaai was booked for striking Longwood’s Samuel Scott in a Kyabram District Football League game on Saturday.

He is ineligible to play football at all until he appears before a tribunal.

Prior to this, the most recent player in this region to be placed in that position was dual Shepparton United premiership player Joey Perkovic, who failed to attend a tribunal hearing in October 2013.

The charges were eventually heard in 2015, with Perkovic going on to play a key role at Shepparton East.

It was a busy night for the KDFL’s independent tribunal, with star Rushworth forward Rob Obsorne up on a striking charge against Tallygaroopna’s Adam Brassil.

Osborne was found not guilty and is free to play in the Tigers’ crunch match with Longwood tomorrow.

Tallygaroopna’s Jayedon Hexter has been rubbed out for a week after being found guilty of striking Girgarre’s Greg Potter in last Saturday’s senior game.
