The Goulburn Valley Suns’ junior sides played in Melbourne on Sunday, but the results did not fall in the their favour.

Five teams, boasting the region’s budding stars, faced off against Box Hill, but came home empty handed.

The under-13s, 14s, 15s, 16s and 18s all played, but only three of the five sides found the back of the net.

Gerang Kuol, Moses Biemba and Michael Colmer all scored for the under-14s, 15s and 18s respectively.

Kuol found the back of the net in his side’s 3-1 loss, while the score was a little close for Biemba and Colmer as both their age groups fell short by just one goal, losing 2-1.

The under-13s and 16s were both held goalless as the sides were left to rue a few missed chances in the 3-0 and 5-0 losses.

The Suns have a chance to bounce back on Sunday when plat Bulleen Lions at McEwen Reserve.
