Harun Aktas found the back of the net for the under-20 Goulburn Valley Suns at the weekend.

The under-20 Goulburn Valley Suns fought back from a goal deficit on Saturday to salvage a point from its contest with the Moreland Zebras.

The teams are seventh in their respective National Premier League Two divisions and the clash proved indicative of their positions.

The home side took the lead in the first half through Jayden Veljanovski (29th minute), but the Suns dug deep after the break to level the scores in the 49th minute.

Harun Aktas was the goal-scorer for the away side, finding the back of the net for the first time this season.

Suns coach Fred Zito swung the changes as the game drew to a close, but his charges could not find a winning strike to take all three points from the match.

Thomas Raditsas entered the fray in the 46th minute at the expense of Kaine Humphries, Fraser Gosstray made way for Vincent Barca in the 63rd minute, Bowdie Chandler replaced Makuac Makuac in the 74th minute and Declan Maiorano was given only a short amount of time to create a goal when he came on in the 86th minute for Alou Kuol.

The solitary point takes the young Suns’ season tally to 31 from 22 matches.

Next week’s clash with the Eastern Lions presents Zito’s troops with an opportunity to leapfrog their opponent into sixth spot, with the Lions sitting on 32 points.
