Shepparton made an emphatic statement on Saturday in under-18 action against Seymour at Deakin Reserve.

The second-placed Bears had control of the Goulburn Valley League match from the start and piled on 10.10 after half-time to the Lions’ one behind to win by 105 points.

Jordan McGregor starred with four goals, while Jack Wilson, Tyler Bell, Spencer Small, Charlie Boyer and Hugo Ingham played their roles.

Huw Jones, Daniel Fisher and Jak Crook were Seymour’s standouts.

Mansfield left Mooroopna with a 13-point victory against the Cats, as Tom Sheahan, Wil Foster (four goals), Joshua Stefanutti, James Chiller and Shane Polkinghorne impressed.

Lachlan Madgwick, Rory Huggard, David Smith, Jack McCarroll and Cody Law were the Cats’ best.

Tatura gave its finals chance a massive boost after defeating Rochester by 17 points.

The Bulldogs were well served by Ethan Moor, Tyson Coonerty, Cade Dealy, Adrian Moor and Mason Farley, while Rochester’s prime movers were Bailey Wileman, Harrison McPhee, Dylan Oaff, Riley Wachter and Joel Haitsma.

Shepparton United enjoyed a 61-point win against Shepparton Swans as Hume Hurley dominated with a seven-goal haul for the victors.

Lachlan Holthuisen, Jack Caia, Joel Serra and Liam Schreck played well for United, while Harry Tonks, Mitchell Gravina, Johnbosco Valoia, Zach Wild and Nathan Rachele were excellent for the Swans.

In the other games, Kyabram remains undefeated after winning by 53 points against Echuca and it was a 78-point win to Benalla against Euroa.
