Fraser Hicks cradles the football on Saturday during Shepparton United's 48-point win over Echuca.

Echuca's Grady Dixon tries to wrap up Shepparton United's Jamie Fulton.

Shepparton United took full advantage of a wayward Echuca side to record a strong victory in Goulburn Valley League under-18 action on Saturday.

The Demons did not record their first point until the final term, while the Murray Bombers booted their only major in the same term, despite having 10 scoring shots for the match.

Jamie Fulton and Lachlan Bogdan snared a pair of goals each for the home side in the 10.3 (63) to 1.9 (15) win, while teammates Noah Milton, Lachlan Holthuisen, Liam Schreck, Joel Serra, Jed Woodman and Ben McCluskey all performed well.

Lachlan Devlin and Luca Molluso were Echuca’s best, but the Murray Bombers will rue missed opportunities in what should have been a much closer affair.

Fans at Kings Park were treated to a thrilling contest between Seymour and Shepparton Swans, with the match ending in a draw 7.10 (52) apiece.

The Swans booted the final two goals of the game to draw level with Lions, but with four behinds also registered in the last term it could have been a much different story.

Corbin Rowan’s three goals had him named in the Swans’ best alongside Isaiah Jones, Zach Wild, Hugh Conway, Lachlan McMahon and Mitch Gravina, while Keegan Grant’s two majors secured his standing as the best Lion on the field.

Shepparton dominated its clash with Tatura, taking victory 12.15 (87) to 2.2 (14).

Jack Nation (four goals), Jak Trewin (three) and Josh Larkin (three) did the damage up forward for the Bears, with Hugo Ingham starring.

Tim Wilson played a lone hand for the Bulldogs, booting their only two majors.

In other results, Rochester defeated Mansfield by 87 points, Kyabram got the better of Benalla by 57 points and Balin King’s haul of six goals helped Euroa to a 52-point win against Mooroopna.
