Shepparton United ace Daniel Bowles is leading Nightcliff towards a drought-breaking premiership.

A number of Goulburn Valley products are gearing up for finals in the Northern Territory Football League.

Shepparton United ace Daniel Bowles and his former teammate Brodie Filo, who will play with Wodonga Raiders this year, are leading Nightcliff towards a drought-breaking premiership.

The Tigers sit second on the ladder leading into the final game of the home-and-away season tomorrow night, winning 15 of 17 matches so far.

Bowles has had a standout season on the field in the Top End, despite Nightcliff putting him in a counselling program for his involvement in an alleged nightclub incident in Darwin last month.

He received a one-match ban from the club.

Filo has only played seven games after recovering from a foot injury before Christmas.

Seymour star Ben Clifton and former Shepparton player Baydon Ngalkin have also made appearances for Nightcliff this season.

Nightcliff should account for Darwin Buffaloes, but the Tigers will have to rely on ladder leader St Mary’s suffering a huge upset to Waratahs to win the minor premiership.

Euroa big man Trent Storer has played 10 games for St Mary’s.

Former Shepparton Swans player Tom Davies has featured for Palmerston as he gears up to play for NT Thunder in the NEAFL this year.

Palmerston has had a tough campaign, winning just two games to sit only above the struggling Tiwi Bombers on the ladder.
