Mooroopna produced a masterclass in convincingly beating Tatura in the D-grade SJ Perry Shield on Saturday.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Tatura was bowled out for 108, before losing the contest outright.
The win for Mooroopna ensures it remains in third place and hot on the heels of Toolamba, who sits top after receiving a forfeit from Northerners.
Fellow challengers Numurkah, who sit second, was too strong for Shepparton United after defeating the away side by 138 runs.
The Blues batted first and posted an impressive total of 332 before restricting their opponents to 194.
Undera proved to strong for Murchison after dismissing the home side for 161, before going on to declare at 4-273.
David Balfour (3-23), Evan Hedges (2-29) and Josh Grieve (2-40) all contributed evenly with the ball to restrict Murchison, but it was Jarred Zerbato who stole the show smashing 74 runs.
Invergordon had a bye.
Meanwhile, in the E-grade Whitelock Shield, results were as expected as four of the top six sides won, with Karramomus beating Katandra.
Table toppers Pine Lodge defeated Old Students outright on Saturday, winning the first innings and then declaring 297 runs ahead on 8-453, before bowling out Old Students again for 105.
Braydon Kearns hit yet another century for Pine Lodge after smashing 17 fours and five sixes on his way to 132.
In a battle of second and fourth, the higher placed Karramomus sent in Katandra to bat before winning on first innings.
Karramomus was forced to chase 71 before posting a score of 245, winning by 59 runs.
Dookie managed a competitive 184 as it attempted to defend against the fifth-placed Mooroopna at Victory Park.
Unfortunately for the home side its total was not enough as the Cats stormed home to finish with 6-299, with Xavier Hand unbeaten on 84.
Meanwhile, bottom side Toolamba lost against Euroa after failing to chase down 116.
Toolamba fell 20 runs short after a batting collapse had the hosts lose 7-17.
