Greyhound Racing Victoria and Shepparton Greyhound Club made the decision to change Monday’s night meeting to a morning meeting.

It will be an early start to greyhound racing on Monday at Shepparton.

Greyhound Racing Victoria and Shepparton Greyhound Club made the decision to change Monday’s night meeting to a morning meeting for the greyhounds’ welfare, with the first race at 9.57am and the last at 1.09pm.

With a hot forecast for late Monday and the early part of the night, it was an easy decision as the welfare of greyhounds was always of utmost importance.

The women in the kitchen will have a nice breakfast for guests, followed by their freshly-cooked lunch menu.

Gotta Get Back is the star on the program.

The the gun chaser has won three of his past four starts in brilliant fashion, including an effortless six-length win last Monday night in Shepparton over the same distance.

A winner of more than $100000 in prizemoney he certainly has been the local star for the past 12 months.

Midnight Flynn looks the other standout on the card.

The former top chaser is getting on in years, but is still more than capable of running well.

While he has three starts over the short distance with no luck, he probably will not get a better chance after drawing his favourite box and this race is a drop in class compared to what he has been competing against.

Selections:

Race one: 7, 1, 2; race two: 2, 8, 5; race three: 6, 1, 8; race four: 8, 1, 2; race five: 5, 2, 3; race six: 7, 8, 6; race seven: 7, 4, 8; race eight: 6, 8, 5; race nine: 8, 3, 1; race 10: 8, 1, 2; race 11: 7, 5, 2; race 12: 8, 3, 1.
