Ryan Sidebottom led the Cricket Shepparton charge in Victorian Premier Cricket on Saturday.
The Tallygaroopna-raised fast bowler continued his good season with three wickets against competition powerhouse St Kilda.
Carlton won the toss, but elected to send St Kilda in to bat at Princes Park.
St Kilda took full advantage of the situation and racked up 8-303 after a terrific start from the top order.
Although the wickets did not come early, Sidebottom persisted and finished with figures of 3-88 from his 22 overs.
Sidebottom has 29 wickets from 13 matches this season at an average of 19.8.
Meanwhile, Tyler Larkin’s Geelong team has a fight on its hands to defend its score against league frontrunner Dandenong this Saturday.
Eamonn Vines was the star for Geelong, smashing 100 opening the batting and guiding his team to 242 after Dandenong won the toss and elected to bowl.
Former Australian Test fast bowler James Pattinson was on fire for Dandenong, picking up five wickets.
Larkin, a Lightfoot medallist in 2015, was out for one after coming in at No.6.
